About Us

‘The Lunar Times’ is the brainchild of the Editor-in-Chief Valeria Raimondo who, in a tedious and gloomy autumn morning, struck us all with the idea of setting up a magazine. After giving it some more thought, the other four members of the board decided to embark on this journey. Finally, we are glad to introduce you all to what has evolved into ‘The Lunar Times’.
What We Do
The Lunar Times is an online magazine focused on East and South-East Asia, which aims at raising the awareness of the most significant aspects of the region and its strategic importance. The Lunar Times targets the student population in Lund and acts as a gateway to Asia’s multifaceted political, economic, social and cultural realities.
Our Vision
Our board is made up of 5 people from various backgrounds with a strong passion for Asia and a heartfelt interest in writing. Our aspiration is to build up a platform that offers meaningful insights into Asia-related topics. Relying on our previous experiences and accumulated expertise in the region, we attempt to bring Asia closer to our readers.
Why Us
The Lunar Times is a magazine for students, written by students. In other words, there is no specific agenda apart from the mere interest of the author(s)to engage with the subjects. Besides, we cover a broad selection of topics from a comprehensive standpoint, ranging from market trends, niche cultural movements to geopolitical entanglements.
How We Work
The Lunar Times publishes every week. We apply a system of peer-reviewing for each article to assure our readers that our content is fact-checked. Scrolling down the 'Home' page, you can find previously published articles. At the bottom, you can see our recommendations of the month. Feel free to write to us if you have any ideas for a catchy song, a quaint proverb, an irresistible tv-series or an interesting novel.

Last but not least, we are constantly recruiting. We would be happy to have you on board, so don't hesitate to contact us!
